A native of Venice Beach, California, he was born to a Mexican mother and German father and his childhood was split between the US and Europe. His first devoted creative expression was the violin, transitioning into digital design while living in New York. After moving to Barcelona, he became drawn to narrative story telling and began shooting short films and hasn’t looked back. His first short, Cajas, won a number of awards and screened at the Berlinale - the Berlin International Film Festival while his second short, Señora Soto, was nominated at the Academy Awards-qualifying, Palm Springs International Short Film Festival. For the past 5 years, living between Paris and Los Angeles, he evolved into directing commercials. His brand of storytelling - with a major focus on highly visual imagery - has leant itself well to the fashion and beauty, car and sports worlds. He has made it his life’s work to visually find beauty & power in every situation. He has won a Bronze Lion, Gold Clio and several golds in the Cristal festival, directing OPI's first brand commercial. He considers himself lucky to have worked with some of the world’s biggest brands: including Revlon, O2, Mazda and Fiat and privileged to work worldwide.
